MAY NEWS!
The year is winding down and the students are absolutely BLOOMING! We hope you had an opportunity to join us at Community Day on May 11th. It turned out to be quite a success and the students had a Blast!
This month we had a visit from a famous Illustrator Liz Zunon as part of our Junior Writer's Week and the students displayed their writing portfolios.
The student council had a Basketball Shoot-For -A-Well Competition and a Car Wash to raise money for our community service project this month and the PTA sponsored a plant sale.
It has been a busy few months for TESTING and we will be finishing up our NWEA tests next week in math, as well as, our benchmarks in Aimsweb and Fountas and Pinell.
In Science, we are experimenting with plants and learning about how the Earths surface changes due to erosion and weathering. We will also be receiving some silkworms to take care of!
In writing and Social Studies we are learning about Historical Fiction and past Wars.
In Math we are finishing up a unit on measurement and moving into geometry.
